Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager (BDM) to join our team. The BDM will play a critical role in driving Mckenna’s growth by identifying new business opportunities, building strong relationships with potential clients, and expanding our market presence. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the physical security industry, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of achieving sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Market Research and Analysis:
- Conduct thorough market research to identify new business opportunities and potential clients in various sectors.
- Analyses market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to inform strategic planning.
Business Development:
- Develop and implement effective business development strategies to drive growth and achieve sales targets.
- Identify and engage with prospective clients through networking, cold calling, meetings, and presentations.
- Managing a pipeline at a 3:1 ratio to target, through prospecting, lead generation, qualifying leads, engagement, building relationships), conversion, mobilisation and onboarding.
- Prepare and present compelling proposals and solutions tailored to client needs.
Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with new and existing clients.
- Act as the primary point of contact for prospective clients, ensuring exceptional service and satisfaction.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of solutions and services to clients.
Sales and Revenue Generation:
- Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Prepare and manage sales forecasts, budgets, and reports.
- Lead formal tender responses supported by the bid management function.
- Negotiate contracts and close deals to secure new business.
Brand Promotion:
- Represent McKenna Global Services at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote our brand and solutions.
- Collaborate with the business to develop and execute promotional campaigns and strategies.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field is preferable.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development or sales, preferably within the physical security industry.
- Proven track record of successfully achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of physical security solutions and technologies (preferable).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills (preferable).
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities (required).
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team (required).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software (required).
